Batesville (also Mount Israel or Olivers Store) is an unincorporated community in Albemarle County, Virginia, United States. Its elevation is 623 feet (190 m).[1]
The Batesville Store (originally known as Page's Store), located at the intersection of Plank Road and Miller School Road, has been the commercial and community center of Batesville and its environs since 1880. Originally a general store selling dry goods and staples, it now features comfort food made fresh in the store, homemade baked goods, local crafts and Virginia wines, live music every weekend, and free wireless access.
